Andrew Hayward spent his career leading technology businesses. The Drowned Age grew out of a long acquaintance with institutions — how they keep faith, how they lose it, and what they do to the people inside them while everyone behaves reasonably.

The Drowned Age is a completed sequence: eleven novels and four companion volumes. He lives in England.
